I was born near Norwich, Norfolk, where my Dad was stationed with the RAF. I have spent most of my life in various parts of the South West, including Bath, Bristol, Cornwall and Devon. I also lived in Prince Edward Island, (home of Anne of Green Gables) near Nova Scotia, Canada.
Keeper of the Enchanted Pool, is my debut novel.
I have always loved books and writing, for as long as I can remember. It is only in recent years that I have had the time to really concentrate on my writing, as dragging up seven children can be quite time-consuming.
When the rejection letters came flooding in for my first offerings, I thought I had better get some help. I did this in the form of three writing courses with the Open University and gained a Diploma of Education in English Literature and Creative Writing.
Also, the review process by members on YouWriteOn.com was invaluable. I learned so much from the very knowledgeable, lovely people on there.
The learning process is a constant ongoing wonderful process. You can teach an old dog new tricks! 😉
